Vol. 04 No. 03 — March 2004

President's Message

Have you looked out and seen the robins? Can’t recall when we have ever seen them this early before. There were at least 40 or 50 sighted at the Crossroads in Londonderry in January. For the past two weeks there have been 15 or 20 in my back yard, enjoying what was left of the small crab apples. If the robins are right, then flying time can’t be too far off.

The past few days have been great and all I could think about was flying, but judging from the melting, I don’t know a field anywhere where I could take off without pontoons.

I just want to remind all of you that our speaker for March 9th is Barbara Miles. I told you she is an exceptional lady and speaker with a wealth of experience in aviation. She’ll talk about some of her exploits and about the people she has met. I guarantee you that you’ll walk away talking about this great lady for some time. She makes an impression on all who meet her. Don’t miss this speaker, Barbara Miles.

Other than reminding you that spring is around the corner, we have a great speaker coming and that your president has had it with this cold weather and has actually run out of things to say, that’s it folks. Have a good month.
